  • Laney 4x12 speakers?

This cab was made in UK. The speakers have NO markings. Anyone know what they are? Here are some pictures.

Are there any numbers stamped on the back of the cones or the frames?

The basket looks like a Celestian except for where the wires attach. A Celestian usually has two rivets holding the insulating strip. The point where the pole piece attaches to the back plate also doesn't look like any Celestian I'm familiar with.

Those are Laney self made HH Invaders.

Very good speakers, practically the same as standard Celestions.

        British made, of course.

They must have run out of labels or more probably the cabinet seller pulled them to claim they are OEM Celestions or something like that.

Just a guess, but Fane speakers were very common in those back in the day.

I ended up selling it to GC for $100. Sad, but necessary for moving my whole family and life to a new place. Someone will get it for $200 probably. Lucky buyer!
