  • Which pots?

I had a look through my stash and found quite a few potentiometers I at some point deemed, not worthy... Which pots are you using and where do you find them?

I like the BI Technologies P160 series pots from Mouser, conductive plastic, 100k cycle life, quiet and <$1 each

I'm not that into those 16mm pots. Alpha is ok I think. I think all pots, switches and stuff adds quite a lot to the overall feel of an amplifier. Quite often overlooked too.

feel is one thing but people can pay too much, I believe people (Aiken?) stopped using high dollar PEC pots because of noise and breakdown issues.

carbon pots, even "hot molded" and sealed RV4 are old tech compared to CP or cermet. I turn my tone pots 3 times a year tops, I just want quiet.
