Having a hard time finding a pot - 500K-L w/ P-P SPST switch

You don't have to tell them that - as far as anyone's concerned you're repairing an amp and you'd like to have the proper pots.

I've found some manufacturers are 'enough of a sport' to sell a couple parts to one-off builders, but I wouldn't make it my introduction to say HEY I"M BUILDING A COPY.

All in all it's worth asking, aftter <5 minutes sending an email, the worst that can happen is what, NO? If so then the search is back on.

Amen, and exactly. Don't assume he won't help you, just ASK. no reason to add in you plan to sell it. If he asks, then you can admit you are going to try to build one.

Local guys walk into my shop looking for some repair part of build part, many times I just give it to them. A lot of us in the industry are willing to help people learn on their own.

All Parts sells a brass adaptor bushing which fits over a spline shaft so you can use solid shaft knobs.

As the bushing is made of a relatively soft material, and it does serve it's purpose, I have found it best to also insert a doubled up piece of card stock in the spline gap, so as not to crush the gap.

Tried Mouser, Digi-Key, AES, Mojo, etc. Even looked on Ebay and nothing came up. Any help or am I just going to have to install separate switches? Seems like it wouldn't be too tough of a part to find...
