im replacing the reverb tank in a crate gx212 amp, it was disconnected when i got the amp and im wondering which wire was the input (red RCA or gray RCA)

The ground ring on the RCA plug should read as follows:
Input: 47 Ohms from chassis ground
Output: At chassis ground

If you turn up the reverb control and touch the tip of each RCA plug, the return cable that connects to the tank output will hum. It will be just like when you touch a cord plugged into the front of the amp.

Is anyone familiar with the foot switch wiring for this amp is? i believe the reverb foot switch is just a mono 1/4" wired to on off switch, then distortion 1 and distortion 2 are probably wired to a stereo 1/4" jack with the sleeve being common between two switches and tip to one switch and the ring to other switch ? right or wrong?

did it this way 52 Bill it was the gray wire reverb now works great!!!
