I'm one of those guys who thinks that the new tanks just don't sound as good as the vintage tanks. And I'm thinking about generic old Fender / Accutronics tanks. I think something went wrong when the whole Belton/Accutronics thing a few years ago, and the new manufacture tanks just don't sound the same. right now I'm sitting on my old Fender Reverb tanks, waiting for the day when someone with younger eyes would be wiling to unwind a couple of coils off of the bobbin and re-attach the signal wires. Unfortunately, I just can't deal with things that small any more.

"I happen to have an original 1955 Stratocaster! The neck and body have been replaced with top quality Warmoth parts, I upgraded the hardware and put in custom, hand wound pickups. It's fabulous. There's nothing like that vintage tone or owning an original." - Chuck H
