  • Issue with new Fender Deville 410

Hey guys, I have a year old Fender Deville 410 only used for practice and sounds amazing!!! Well last night I finally cranked it to 50% Volume and it has some major issues. When cranked to 50 the sound cuts in and out and crackles. The temp but not good fix is to hit the amp on the head and it stops for about a song or two then starts up again. Also it randomly feeds back really bad with no volume making a loud humming noise but again hitting it on the head fixes the issue temporarily. Happens in both Line in and pre amp channel. Let me know what you guys think. Thank you!

Sounds like a bad connection. Take advantage of the 5 year warranty.

First off, welcome to the place.

I agree with the others if the amp is under warranty. If the amp is out of warranty, check or resolder the solder joints on the output tube sockets.

Add my voice for take it in under warranty, there are fender warranty repair shops all over. I was one for 29 years, and that is what we were there for. That is what warranties are for.

Hey! Easy now. I'm not just trying to log posts. I actually think it's important to back up good advice. It's easy to disregard advice from ONE poster if it doesn't suit your whimsy. You can imagine that poster must be a crack of some kind (no offense g ). Get enough similar opinions going and g1 isn't a nut job anymore (no offense g ) Maybe I just thought g1 looked lonely up there with his single post. So now he isn't a lonely, crack, nut job anymore (no offence g )

Thanks for getting that. It was a pre-coffee moment so I wasn't sure. And I love that movie! The marionette fight scenes are a gas. So is the theme song.
