Stage 1600 has gone nuts

I'm getting a huge buzz (louder than the guitar) from my 1600, and the Timbre/Tuner lights are whacked.

I'm hoping this would be an easy replacement fix - any ideas on this?

Check your power supply lines for excessive AC. You probably have a bad filter cap or one that has cold/cracked solder.

Yes, as The Dude says check power supplies - from your fault description I would suspect the +16V supply BUT
See Sheet 1 of the schematic:
Check TP8 - should be +16V
Check TP9 - should be -16V
Check TP11 - should be +5V
Measure with respect to chassis which is at 0V.

If I get a vote, I'll wager on one of the two large main filter cap cans having cracked solder. They are next to each other near the rear edge of the board.

If you turn off the reverb and give the amp a good Enzo whack with your hand, can you make the amp react, like stop humming or at least change its' tune?
