I'm talking about amps like the JCM800 that have a high and low input jack, and the low input will just pass signal via the switching jack when nothing is plugged into it.
Is it a bi-product of this function that you will get some extra pre-amp hiss when nothing is plugged in or if you are plugged into the high input (guitar turned down), as opposed to plugging in the low input which will be silent if the guitar is turned down?
If so, I would be interested in a way around this, with a switch or something.
I want the two channel function, but also the ability to get silence using the guitar volume.
