  • AVT 50 problem

I have a AVT50, no output to speakers but I do get output at the headphone jack.
I have replaced the entire AVT50-62-02 board as over the years I have replaced the TDA7293 so many times the tracks could not handle another replacement.
I also replaced A couple of resistors on the main board
R58 and R81 because they were discolored, not completely "smoked" but close.
    I have +/-32 VDC at the TDA7293.
Do you have any thoughts as to how I can proceed.

    I thank you in advance.

The headphones work? That is your clue. The phones derive off the speaker output, so the 7293 is working. Look for a bad contact on the headphones jack. The sleeve cutout contact on that jack is the speaker return. Plugging into the phones disconnects the speaker return. If those contacts don'r make when the phones are unplugged - no speaker sound.

Of course could be solder under the jack or a burnt trace to the speaker wire.

I'd be betting on the jack.

In solid state amps, you can use any impedance so long as it is not lower than the rated impedance.
