EVM12L Classic reissue speaker- where to get it?

Hi guys

I just noticed that EV have reissued the EVM12L, in a plain version as opposed to the O.T.T. "Zakk Wylde Black Label" model they had before, and about half the price... I want one! But I've not seen any for sale in the UK. Does anyone know how I can get hold of one?

I have a Harry Kolbe cab with an old EVM12L. That is one AWESOME speaker! They are unbelievably heavy, though!

I finally got an EVM12L Classic from Comms And Sound.

It wasn't advertised on their website, but they ordered it for me. They seem to be a big UK dealer for EV.

They actually sent the Black Label by mistake first, so I got to see both of them. The only real difference I can see is that the Black Label has its chassis painted black, a different sticker on the magnet, and presumably the 300W cone and voice coil (and it costs more!) They both have the same huge magnet and vent hole in the polepiece.

I've not built a cabinet yet. I got the TL806 plans, and I'm planning to make something more or less the same as that, just a slightly different shape to match my amp head. I tried the speaker anyway, and it sounded as good as I've ever heard any speaker without a cabinet. With the tuned cabinet, I'm hoping it will kick ass on guitar and even be usable as a bass amp for small gigs. After all, the EVM12L started out as a high efficiency PA woofer.
