Has anyone used the Line 6 Spider V 120 in a live metal band scenario? How did the amp perform? I am thinking of getting this amp, but have heard a lot of negative stories about it in a live setup.

You either like processor based amps or you don’t. It’s subjective. I personally don't like any of them. But I have seen people successfully use them live. I have a couple of Line 6 Spider something amp chassis in my junk. I pulled them to use the cabinets tonbuild tube amp combos. More than once I’ve picked them up cheap and non working simply because the owners did not know how to do a hard reset after the processor locked up. Not fun when they lock up at a gig.
