Hi, excuse me for adding to an existing thread but I have a very similar situation to the OP. I have a Roland D-Bass 115, the amp of which caught fire (literally) one hot evening. I took what remained of the amp out and have used the cab since with a GK MBS lll amp, but without the pizeo horn. The combo was originally bi-amped and rated at 250w + 80w to the horn. I'd like to re-connect the horn and to put in an L-pad attenuator. Two questions really, firstly what values should I use for the capacitor and rersistor as described above and where in the circuit should the l-pad go (I assume after the cap. and resistor so !! speaker to resistor to l pad to pizeo !! on the + side but can anyone confirm this?

It occurred to me while writing the above that I could use two caps of different values and a switch to select which cap to use - would this be of any practical value?
