Question regarding sound and amps that Dimebag Darrell used

I have been a huge fan of Dimebag Darrell (Pantera's former guitarist). However, I must not be a big enough fan since I have no idea what he used for his sound and far as pedals & amps.

So my question is this; what did Dimebag Darrell use in order to get that heavy & thick sound on the album Vulgar Display of Power? I.E. , what amps and pedal effects did he use?
