My gripe with the 7293 board is when the assembler pushes down the front pins onto the solder masked traces.
Talk about a bonehead move.
If the wrong ic lead is touching the wrong trace & it burns through the masking....
(it might takea long time or not)

If I notice this on a repair I will lift the front pins up off of the board after melting the solder joint.

Marshall avt 150's

Hello to all.... avt 150's can be a pain in the butt... I've carried out many repairs to these and replace many o/p stages due to there over heat and fail faults...

Now if you check it's rail voltage to the power stage you will notice there's little head room in the filter caps..a 1000uf at 63v..on a 150w head!!

My mod was to do away with them power ic amp's and fit a stable amp module in it's place and beef up the filter cap's to 4700uf much better....

and a very happy client...
