Hello everyone - it looks like there's a wealth of information here and I'm hoping somebody can answer this question: does anyone know what the preamp layout of a Gibson GA40 or 42RVT (new model - these aren't vintage amps) is? Has (5) 12ax7, I'm sure V1 is first gains stage for channel 1 and V5 is probably phase inverter, but V2-V4 ????? Anyone know schematics can be found? Can't find information ANYWHERE and thus far Gibson has given only very vague, generic answers. I suspect this amp is largely based on a Fender circuit but might be wrong. Any help appreciated!

I would have to speculate because I can't find schematics anywhere either, just hope someone here is a repair shop for gibson and has one. But if you don't get an answer soon I would trace it out and see. One (if I guessed I would say v2) is for channel two. You could remove them one at a time and see what the reactions are. Sorry couldn't be more helpful.
