  • Fender AB763 tremolo pedal "POP" - solutions?

My bf deluxe reverb will make a decently loud "pop" when engaging the tremolo switch. Is this common?

If it's common, I was wondering if there's any usual solutions that are worth trying. I checked all my Gerald Weber books and don't seem to see this problem addressed.

Double check that the reverb switch cable (shielded) and vib switch cable are not reversed. I could be mistaken but seem to recall that can cause popping.

I recall reading a few threads with fixes, but not exactly what they were
First off I’d try the old classic switch depopper of fitting a 10M resistor across it, eg at the RCA jack terminals.

Also check if the pop still happens when reverb is switched off at footswitch.
