^^^ I don't condone it. But I've seen it "work". Yes, all too often it's the way it goes. I was a bit tongue in cheek with that comment.

I equate building amps without any real knowledge to training a monkey or animal to do some parlor trick. To me it demonstrates a level of impatience on the learner. Even experienced amp builders run into complications on their builds and they know what they are doing.

We always mention the analogy about leading a horse to water. You may advise someone to not shotgun a repair and they do the exact opposite. But there is something to a learned experience that will still transpire. Have you learned your lesson yet?
