Ok so a buddy of mine let me borrow his 65 - London, and I absolutely fell in love with it. I have been thinking about learning how to put amps together for awhile now, and I think I would like to try putting together something like this, Based on a 2xEL84 power, and rectified using an EF86. I was thinking about using a 65 London scheme to start with, and maybe modifying it a bit. I have the time, and now I have the money. I really want to do this, can you all tell me, am I getting in over my head? Or is this a good idea?

Anyone know where I can get Shematics to build a 65 - Londonesque amp?

Ask Kevin OC? ;-)
But seriously (as much as you might not like the suggestion at first), for your first build you might be better starting with a simple amp like a tweed champ/ princeton/ or deluxe, where you can understand (and troubleshoot) the build more easily.Building a better world (one tube amp at a time)

I think you meant rectified with an EZ81. EF86 in the preamp.
If you want that type of sound, just build an AC15 or mod a tiny terror. Both will get you that vox type sound.
