    Dirty/Harsh top end in high gain amp

    I am having a similar problem with a medium-high gain amp: harsh treble harmonics on top of an otherwise good sounding amp.
    I came across this old thread while searching for other's experience with this problem.

    What did you end up doing with that amp, as a solution?

      I had built a similar amp and used a high value cap between the PI plates to tame the treble. 300pF worked well for me.
