Here are some pix, they probably wont' be that helpful. But I think it's interesting that it is working, and you think it strange. THe first is the tube and my clip lead on the cathode resistor(1.5k) and to the right the 220k grid resistor. When I clip to the 220k there's no reverb. When clipped to the 1.5K it does.
Other 2 are of the clips to the pan.
Obviously, this is a test bed or breadboard you could say.

      reverb

I am afraid those pictures are not useful. We need to see the socket and where it connects to components and ground.

Post a good clear picture like I have attached, please. With a picture like this I can follow each pin to a component. This is a one tube reverb on an amp that worked.

      Something isn't wired correctly.

        thanks again,
Ill organize my circuit so I can get a clear picture. Perhaps in doing so the problem will be solved. Thanks for your time.

          reverb tube layout

OK, to help out ...... here is a layout of what your reverb tube & components should look like. You can use a 1M resistor for dwell if you want.

The R & R2 are insertion points around the 100k resistor going to the grid of
          V3.

Something is not wired right or there is a short or something is touching something else where it's not supposed to.

thanks for drawing that up. Much appreciated!
I'll be back to report that's it's working in a few days.

            cheers

btw is my connection, on my schematic, right, inserting the RV circuit on the wiper of the volume control. No one has said 's, so it's right..?,

              reverb

Yeah, I think that would work with wiper on volume as an insertion point. However, you might try inserting it on the non grounded terminal on the vol pot for a comparison?

                Got it working! yea....
In my cleaning of the test bed I discovered that the ground connection for the grid resistor was not good. It works really well on the wiper of the volume pot so I think I'll just leave it as is.
Again thanks Tubenit for the help and schematic and to all else that helped me with this project.
This is part of a project to make a battery powered tube amp and now that the small low wattage amp in ready I will be testing it using DC only and with the hope of hooking up a SMPS and 2 batteries, one for B+ and the other, a 6V, for filament voltage.

Congrats on getting it working. Glad you got it solved and up and running.
