  • Blown Pilot Light - 6.6V??

The pilot light in mt new build died pretty quick... I'm getting 6.6V w/ the bad bulb in there... will the voltage drop w/ a new bulb? I'm worried about the life of my tubes, with them getting the extra voltage.... Is there anything I can do to drop the voltage down a fuzz??

That .3 voltage difference shouldnt hurt anything. It may drop down some with a new bulb, but its nothing to worry about.

Do you think the bulb just died b/c it was cheap? it looks silver like getter flash now.....

Who knows why it died, they just do.That .3v could be your meter.Or if you look at things this way, most components in a tube amp have at least a 5%-10% tolerance.Ten percent of 6.3 is .63,right?Just change the bulb and dont sweat it.It's more of a problem if your volts drop below 6.3.
