  • When an old project resurfaces. (epi Electar)

    Hey guys,

a buddy of mine who i used to work with (and haven't hung out with in a year or 3) is coming by today, and bringing my old Epi ELectar test combo back!!!!

I left it at his place about 8 years ago... heavily modded (sloppily i am sure) and it sat in a closet for the last 7. He plugged it in and said it made some wierd sounds, which i am sure it should, since it was a test bed for wierd ideas at the time.

So, what do i do with this thing? any ideas? I am sure it needs to be gutted.

Well,I gutted it, it was a horrible mish mash of champ style mods.

Built a 5f2 princeton type circuit in there, but the voltages are WAY high.

I dunno, i added some filtering stages, but i don't know how i'll get the voltage down... maybe i'll play with the rectifier circuit. Right now there is too much voltage slamming the thing and it sounds like shite.
