can this be used to cover speakers in a cab? the stuff used to hide car speakers in a parcel shelf?

You can cover the cabinet in that rat fur if you like. But, that doesn't seem to be what you are asking. And yes, you can use normal speaker grill cloth if you like. Check tubesandmore.com for grill cloth options. -

Sorry, guess I don't know what material you are talking about, really know little about car audio except that it usually stinks.
You can use any cloth you like, just know that it will have some effect on the sound. Usually the thicker and denser the more highs you will lose.Comment
