Hey guys I have a PT with no 5v winding, but I've got a 5v PT to power the rectifier tube. I have the CT of my PT going to the stby switch. Do I also run the CT from the 5v PT to the stby switch as well? Do two of the CT's from each PT go together to my STBY switch or can I just use one?

    Thanks,
    Chuck.

The meaning of the stand by switch is to allow the tubes heaters to warm up with no B+ on the plates. This is most important, when you have a diode rectifier which delivers B+ before the tubes heaters have warmed up.
If the CT of the 5v PT would be switched with the stand by as well, the rectifier tube wouldn't supply B+ until it's warmed up too = you wouldn't need a stand by switch.

I'd switch only the B+ with the stand by switch. That way you could cut out the B+ when you don't play, while the tubes heaters stay warm.

I have the CT from my PT going to STBY right now, so I don't hook up the CT from my 5v winding PT?

Yep, 5v CT not to stand by.
