  • who is your preferred pre-made combo cab maker?

My parents would like to buy a pre-made combo cab for an amp I built for my brother. Who is your favorite builder and why? I'm most interested in 5E3 or 18w 1x12 styles that will accept a generic non-slanted chassis.

    Thank!

John is good but can take some time sometimes. Prices are excellent.

I'd recommend AGAINST Weber VST. They didn't do a good job gluing the tolex on my last cabinet, and I had to go back in and reglue it all myself. That was a royal pain and used up quite a bit of glue. Also, I found the pine to be somewhat soft, and drilling through it splintered it too easily compared to other cabinets.

I've been impressed with Mojotone's cabinets so far.

Me too, my Ninja Deluxe is in a Mojo 5E3 cabinet.

Got a 2x10 6a14 weber cab, chassis kit and power transformer, had most of the other bits laying around. I spent a good amount of time on the phone with CJ and he was very helpful. The cab arrived yesterday and it looks pretty neat. The holes for the chassis bolts are a little rough looking- that surprised me.

We'll see how it holds up but for now it looks really great.
