Major

I'm looking to build a major for a friend, the intention is to use it as a bass amp.
I'm wondering if anyone knows what sort of chassis I should go with, 'm not sure what the majors were built on as far as if it will fit onto a jmp 100watt chassis or not.

TUT5 includes a chapter about the Major and a way to make a simple version, or rather, one that you can get parts for easily. This results in 160W out instead of 200W but fits into a 10x17x3" chassis. You can rack-mount it or build it as a head.

The most impressive thing about the Major was the matching 415 cabinets. Otherwise, many were modified to have a more typical circuit and a master volume.
