  • Looking for advice for a power transformer for a Tweed 5Gg circuit.

    i would like to clone a fender tremolux 5G9. Looking for advice on what power transformer to use? I was leaning towards the Classic tone iron. Fender Power Transformer, Deluxe, Deluxe Reverb, Tweed Tremolux, 125P23B, 025130, 041316, 120V

    could you guys look over the specifications.(http://www.classictone.net/40-18016.pdf) and see if i made the right choice and if i wanted to mod the amp with reverb(ab763 type circuit) down the road did i leave myself enough juice(amps) to do so? Thanks for the input.

    Whatever you get, it needs the following secondary windings:

    HT = 300-0-300VAC @ 120mA (150mA is good too)
    Fil = 6.3VAC @ 3A (centre-tapped is good too)
    Rect = 5VAC @ 3A
    Bias = 50VAC (you can make it work with less - you just have to change the voltage divider in the bias supply)
    Building a better world (one tube amp at a time)
