Latest schematic. The reverb circuit will be SS, think I have it thought out but will have to breadboard it. Because the power transformer is a little light on size I am using 6K6's, no tube rectifier to free up some iron capacity, SS reverb for the same reason. Have a high impedance tank so the circuit shown here would work, lifted it off some amp.

Just wait until I do my 5E3/Bassman/Blackface cross with a couple of different PI's thrown in not to mention the pentode preamp tube thrown in.
        Awsome!

The fixed bias power supply won't work with a full wave bridge. You need one of the cap coupled types like the Vox AC100.
WARNING! Musical Instrument amplifiers contain lethal voltages and can retain them even when unplugged. Refer service to qualified personnel.

See, that is why I come here, to remind me what I forget. Actually that part is right, I am so used to seeing a bridge circuit in my schematics I forgot to change this one to full wave rectification. The transformer is 600V center tapped. Going with 6K6's now.

What happens to your dry signal when you turn your reverb pot to zero?

Think of it as a master volume.

Good point, need an isolating resistor. I never really delved much into the reverb end of it yet, just saw a schematic using a tube and tank I have and just pasted it into the schematic thinking I will worry about it later. I plan on going SS just to save some heater current in the transformer I have. I finally laid out the top panel today, the Tweed and the BF tone control components are going to be laid out point-to-point on the pots and switch. It saves a tone of wiring back and forth to the board. In fact a normal 5E3 board will work with the arrangement. The only concern is the input and output passing each other through the switch. One way to find out I guess.

Slow going as I am building another amp at the moment along with building tooling to do box joints using a router on my table saw. At least it gives me time to think things out. And you guys to catch my mistakes.

A few more changes. Thought about it and decided to skip the reverb for the 5E3, no need for a push pull pot and moved the reverb loop in the BF loop. Also the power supply now is a full wave. Have not updated the reverb section yet, well except for the missing resistor.

I built a router table and a box joint jig awhich has been taking some of my time. Seems to work well.

But back to my 5E3 - Blackface project, the schematic looks like a handful but really it is not that bad. The input, volume, tone controls and switch along with the tone control capacitors and resistors are all done point-to-point on the top panel. Only one joint needs an extra lug otherwise all the connections are on the pots and switches. Drew it out today the old fashion way with pencil and paper.

Other than splitting the input stage cathode resistor and capacitor the above should work with any 5E3 amp with no modification to the board. I have the reverb included but a straight wire jumper will work for those non-reverb types.
