6G15 Reverb Unit w/ Shorter Tank?

I'm cobbling together parts for a 6G15 being worn out on using a reverb pedal live. But I'd like to make it compact - maybe build it into a champ size chassis.

Has anyone used a shorter 3 spring tank with one and, if so, how does it sound?

Listen to any smaller Fender tube amp that uses the short pan, and compare teh sound of the reverb to an amp with a long pan. The circuits around them will be pretty much teh same, the difference will be the pan.

To me the question is whether the short pan will give you an acceptable sound or not, rather than a strict comparison. To my ear the long pans always sound "better" when compared. But if a long won;t fit in the box? Then you decide if the short is good enough.
