  • ClassicTone "upgrade" transformers for a 5f2-a Princeton build

I'm about to start a 5f2-a build and I'm trying to decide about whether to use the standard Classictone transformers or the "upgraded" ones. The standard OT is rated at 5w and the upgrade at 15w. And the standard PT for 70mA and the upgrade for 100mA. Either would work fine, but would there be differences in overall sound? I read somewhere that stated that with a higher rated OT you'd get a more "hifi" sound with better bass response, and with the OT rated at closer to the actual output of the amp that there would be a more saturated sound. Anyone care to speak to this topic?

And as for the PT, I'm under the assumption that power is power, and as long as there is enough of it to go around that there won't be much/if any change in sound between the two transformers. Am I correct in this?
