  • 6V6 Retainers?

What retainers do I need to mount 6V6s, and 5AR4 tubes upside down.
Was looking at something like this.

Or do you recommend something else?
I've always built upright heads and haven't fooled with retainers!
I need info so I can order parts.
This amp is going to get hauled a lot.

I just cut springs shorter & bend the sheet metal appropriately on regular retainers. No complaints yet.
This isn't the future I signed up for.

To be honest, if your sockets are nice and snug, you don't need them. None of the smaller Fender amps with 6V6 or 5AR4 have them, and you never hear of guys complaining their tubes are falling out in Deluxe reverbs etc. If they do, retensioning the sockets is the fix.
With bigger tubes like 6L6 and 5U4, they used the clip (bear trap) style retainers like these:

I'm not saying it's not a good idea to use them, just that for 6v6 size tubes it's not common practice and not a necessity.

I thought that might be the case.
I looked at some small fender amp kits, and none used retainers.
I have Belton style 8 pin sockets, and they do seem plenty snug.
        Thanks,
