My little 22 watt combo has a lot of vibration, a lot more than I thought it would, so Im betting that the new new stock tubes are not happy.
Ive read bits on larger, probably unrelated threads, where people, can't remember who, said they got rubber sheet, cut it to make vibration isolators to go under tube sockets. Can't find the posts with search. Found a bunch of sheet and strip rubber, but don't know if this stuff is too 'squishy' to go under tube sockets:

Anyone suggest something better?
I searched various sites and haven't found anything ready made.
One of the amp techs who has amp build videos, I think it was Tube Depot, drills out mounting holes a bit, and puts a grommet under the preamp tube sockets, but these cheap, flimsy sockets that I have seen definitely need something under the whole socket, not just the edge where the screws go through, especially how tight the tubes fit.
Ive seen on occasion some really beefy, spring loaded mil-spec sockets like on ebay, but they were ridiculous in price and very rare.
