Two Blackstar 200 dummy heads were just dropped off here for parts. These and others that are in our backline gear inventory are used for stage props often. Neither of these two heads are functional, missing the power tube PCB inside, as well as all of the wiring. While space is precious here in the shop, there is a small loft area where I've got boneyard stuff stored, and figured I can always gut these for parts. Or, after extracting one set of power and output xfmrs, assuming they at least work....these would certainly be suitable for custom builds.
I haven't yet tracked down the schematics for them. The output stage on the amp is set up for four KT-88's. So, one of the O/T's is of interest, as a possible xfmr for my re-build of a Traynor YBA-1A Mk II, it now using a pair of KT88's.
Here's some photos of what's available.
The control knobs are nice, similar to what's on Mesa products. Shaft detail is 6mm Single-D type, indictor dot is 270 deg rotated from the flat (assuming flat is pointing at 0 deg) All the pots on the single front panel PCB are vertical-mount...shaft standing 90 deg off the PCB.
The painted chassis is welded 14 ga steel (0.090" thk)
weight is 27.2kg, dimensions are 705mm x 205mm x 279mm (assuming that's cabinet dimensions.
Other than one set of xfmrs and probably fuse posts, other panel hardware, these are available for free...shpg on you.
