    Yes, an additional loop gain of around 10. What is it good for?

      This power stage cannot be pushed into overdrive, at least into actual configuration. It is a pretty clean amp. As time did not benefit by a hefty driver is hard to believe the grids can be pushed enough as it was designed.I trying to mod it in some more usable for guitar.

        Can you please show a scope shot ( with x and y axis scales specified) with the output driven as hard as you can with a 1Khz sine wave. The idle DCV at the PI plates and 6550 grids will be helpful too.
        Experience is something you get, just after you really needed it.
