  • Small SE Xformer 2.5 K what use for it ?

    Hi all,

Just found two small Single Ended OT xformers , primary impedance 2,5 K and secondary 8 ohms and 600 ohms. These seem like a useful candidates for a couple of low wattage amps , would love to crank them.
I have no idea what wattage they are but I guess a 2 to 3 watts must be possible. Weight is 300 gram !
I would love to hear any suggestions what tubes would be suitable for them.

You can a picture of one on Photobucket.

    In anticipation , Alf

I think it could work with power amp tubes such as 50C5, 50L6, 35C5 and 35L8. Look at circuits for those old Harmonys, Kays, Silvertones, etc., without power transformers. Your OT would probably work in one of those.
