    hum would be from some of those over long leads; shorten the wires and run shielded lines early and/or between stages. The intermittent white noise could be blocking distortion, try lowering some of the higher gain stages maybe; 820 ->1.5k on cathode bypass, maybe the old tubes can't handle the gain.

    IMHO others will know much more.

      I'm an idiot. I soldered the wire from power supply to the second preamp tube to the grid, not to the plate. I left the 1.5k resistor in. One moment i should change it back. See how the sound will be.

      If I'l get some time I will do something with the faceplate. It was originaly suposed to be a 2-channel amp. The empty holes for a tube socket and 2 in the back were suposed to be for a FX loop, but I accidentally ordered only 3 tube sockets. Will deal with that later...
      Eventualy I also want to do a cabinet for the chassis.
