  • Rectifier Diodes

I'm building an Ampeg Portaflex clone and will be using a solid state rectifier. The schematics I have don't indicate the part numbers of the diodes used in the rectifier. Searching this forum I've found that 1N4007 diodes seem to have been used in other builds. I just want to confirm that these will be appropriate for my build.

    Thanks,

    Greg

1N4007 will work fine in place of just about any B+ rectifier we find.

It is rated at 1 amp, more than enough for a guitar amp B+. And it will stand 1000 reverse volts, again plenty for most guitar amps, certainly any Portaflex circuit.
