I've got three Brownface/Blonde Bandmaster heads with the Harmonic Trem---it really does sound better than the Bias Vary trem and way, way better than any BF roach trem i've ever heard.
But having said that, i'm not all that big a trem fan---it's cool for a while but then i'll just click it off when i'm playing one of these amps.
I built a Brownface/Blonde Tremolux 6G9-B clone on an old 30 watt 6L6GCx2 PA head and included the Bias Vary trem-----the new owner loves it---he's a big trem fan.
    I've also built a Brownface/Blonde Bandmaster 6G7-A clone on a Bogen CHB50 chassis/trannies----normal channel only, no trem.
The 350k/70k pot that's needed to build these circuits is available from Weber VST and Hoffman.
i built these clones because i didn't see many of these Brownface Fenders being cloned and i always liked the way my Brownface Bandmaster heads sounded, even without the Trem engaged------ not Tweed, not Blackface, seems to share some characteristics of both but has its own unique tone /feel------ very nice natural OD tone--great clean tone, more "hairy" than an AB763 BF---not as mid-scooped.
I like all old Fender amps for what they are :Tweeds, Browns, BF, some SF-----none is really any "better" to me than any other--- it just depends on what kind of Fender tone i'm wanting to play at the moment--- they all have their strengths.
A properly serviced orig or a good sounding clone can deliver the Fender-ish goods-----i like to use RCA preamp tubes in these, even the clones when i can.....................gldtp99

I've messed around with the 6G6-B Bass channel circuit and I like my tweeked-for-guitar version better than the Normal BF circuit (the non-reverb circuit) in one amp where I have both circuits. But it uses 4 triodes where the BF Normal circuit only uses two. My amps are all custom jobs built by me...for me...so I don't care about that...but an amp seller might have to.

I think for a while the special Treble pot was an issue but as mentioned, you can get 'em now.

The lack of reverb was probably another. I'm currently about to try to add reverb to my tweeked 6G6-B circuit...but it's a 'marriage' of BF Fender Reverb and a schemo for a Dumble Reverb I saw somewhere. I never did like the way the BF Fenders add the reverb back into the dry...that 2M2//10pF thing kinda blows imo.

Here's the preliminary/prototype schemo...sure to be tweeked further. It's the tweeked 6G6-B circuit with some Dumble-style preamp voicing switches, Fender/Dumble-inspired reverb.
