I was looking at another forum a few days back, and noticed that they have a sticky with many links to cabinet design and plans. I know I have quite a few I've squirrelled away over the years, and some of the members have built some really nice ones. I would have to scan all the old Altec, EV, and JBL sheets that I have, but it would be in a central location where anyone could see if there's anything useful. Any interest?

How about a dedicated file of cabinet designs?

Hell yes!! The 'Cabnetry' forum would be perfect, just like the dedicated 5E3 forum. I tried Googling for the dimensions of 4x10 Concert and 4x10 Bassman cabinets yesterday, and came up with 3 different sizes. I still don't know which, if any, are accurate.Black sheep, black sheep, you got some wool?
Ya, I do man. My back is full.

Thanks tboy!
I'll start working toward getting my paper images turned into electronic. I really should use the document center, as many of the plans are larger than 8.5x11. Thanks again, I've seen some really nice cabinets here in the forum, and think a central thread will make it easier for us to find something interesting, and not have to try a design that someone else found didn't work. Here's a link to a set of cabs I designed.
They look a bit like a fender combo.
One size cab can take a 4 x 10, 2 x 12 or 1 x 15 baffle.

I hope e you like 'em.Attached Files

Good looking wood, where I live, the trees are pretty small, I had a customer,(cabinet maker) build a Twin type cabinet for me, the largest piece is about 6 inches.
Well I finally got downtown, and got some documents scanned, but I see everyone has posted most of the EV that I have. Here's a couple no one has posted yet

I'll try to get the JBL posted next week, and I still need to scan the Altec, but I will.

Y' know what would be AWESOME? A list of chassis dimensions for common amps, how much to add to inside dimensions for tolex, and how much to sutract from baffle for grill cloth. That kind of stuff. I may or may not be willing to admit that I recently had to grind 1/16 of an inch off the end of a silverface chassis because it would not fit in a cabinet I built after I tolexed it.
