  • Chassis vibration isolation

Ok, for those who may not have followed my thread on the Maintenance section: I've got a Peavey Triumph combo. The tube rattle bugs me, plus I'd like the flexibility of different speaker cabs. So I'm going to make this into a separate head/cab unit.

The woodworking part of making a new head is no problem, I've got a shop full of implements of destruction (table saw, radial arm saw, router table, biscuit joiner, plus a new dovetail jig waiting to be tried out). Other than the normal dilemma of too many projects and not enough time, that part's covered.

I want to suspend or float the chassis itself within the wooden enclosure. Maybe kinda like Ampeg with their V-4 heads. So I need to either buy or make some small vibration isolation mounts...but I'm curious:

What sort of vibration isolation schemes do you guys prefer? I'd appreciate any helpful hints here!! Thanks!!
