  • Standard Tweed bulnose rounding radius for routing?

    Hi there

I just got a new plunge router and I wanted to know what radius everyone uses for the cab quarter-round bull-nose routing on their tweeds?

I got an 8mm radius bit. I saw some 5mm ones in the shop.

    Comments Please

    Cheers

Being in the auto repair business, we unfortunately had to learn some of the metrics. 8mm is approximately 5/16", 13mm is close to 1/2".

        Tweed Roundover Radius

        Hello,
I've put a radius gauge to some tweed amps and have found that
the edges seem to be closer to 3/4" radius for all outer edges, with the exception of the control cutout which is closer to 1/2" radius.
On the other hand the black tolex/tweed style box Champ has a 1/2' radius
        throughout.
If you would like, I will post some pics of the radius gauge and my
amp so you can see what I'm talking about.
