  • in need of help :(

    hey guys
on thursday i recieved my Hughes and Kettner 4x12 cab, i payed 100 off the bay
my plan was to strip it, stain it darker and make the baffle cane wicker,
my problem is that once i started to strip i descovered that the carpet material is like flock, its hard to explain what it is. its not an actualy vinal or anything like that, its like a fury paint.
so i went out and got a sander, and started on the bottem, and im really pissed off at how it looks, its very hard to get off, even with 40 grit sand paper, it just pollishes it lol.

so im on plan b, my question is, does anyone know of a paint stripper i could use to get it off, or a chemical stripper?

and has anyone else ever had this stuff befor?

    cheers

Before you go and get some paint stripper try a heat gun and a putty knife
This might allow you to get most of the adhesive off so you can sand the rest off .. It does take some time so be patient
