    I am going to retolex a few Fender amp cabinets. Please don't try to stop me. ;-)

    Antique Electronics Supply has 3 thicnesses of black tolex: Light weight (0.0185"), Medium weight (0.0250") and Heavey weight (0.0285"). What thickeness have you used? Are there any advantages from one to another thickness? Thanks.

    Light is really thin and tears easily. Go medium or heavy.

    And avoid the water-based glue at AES--I used that for years, and all my edges are peeling up. I switched to Mojotone's glue, and am MUCH happier.

      Wilsonart H2O shows up in google searches, don't know how much cheaper it is.
