  • 1941 Rauland W-861 PA amp

Any sudjestions on what i should do with this amp (guitar amp, harp amp, restore to original) . Its way to cool to throw away. I has 4 mic and 2 phono inputs. Its in pretty good shape for its age but has some wierd tubes in it. all of the preamp and power amp tubes are metal . Could i replace the metal preamp ones with 6sn7 glass bottles or 6dn7 glass bottles. Could i use glass bottle 6l6s and a 6v6 in place of the 6f6.
    4 - 6sc7
    4 - 6sf5
    1 - 6f6
    2 - 6l6
    2 - 5u4g
    1 - 83
    thanks

I changed the 50V E-caps , wax paper caps and cpleaned the pots . The amp fored up and sounds cool . It has a nie over driven sound to it when pushed hard. I swaped out the 6F6 with a 6V6 and it warmed it up a little.
Not a bad firnd for free.

That's cool, I love old amp conversions. I have several Bogens like that.
