Stereo amp conversion

Given the quantity and quality of unloved stereo tube donor amps out there, has anyone tried something like this for a guitar amplifier? I left the screen detail out for clarity. It could also be cathode biased. I've got several 1X12 8R cabs that might do the job. Not sure if I would use a negative feedback system. Maybe a dual-ganged Vox/Matchless tone cut rather than a presence control?
