well, kind of.....
i'm not to sure why i have spent time on this, but maybe it has something to do with simply being tubes...
so i have this chassis that i got for 5 bucks. after a few days, i was finally able to pin down the schematic. it's complement is 1 x 12ax7 and 2 x 50c5's.
now, having worked on aa5 tube sets that use line for filament and voltages, i realize that i don't really want to use this chassis with no real isolation from the mains.
on that note, i remembered that in the garage, is a box, that requires two man lift because it is full of power transformers salvaged from tube sets and modern sets.
to make a long story short, i wrapped a new secondary and am at about 1:1.05 with it.
hums like crazy, (so i must teach it the words), but need to work the lamination to take care of that.
now i can build a small box for this chassis.
the 50c5 p-p does crank some power for what it is.
