The old Tanberg, has tubes and catseye preamp guts.
I'll need to 3 prong and rewire the PS of course.
But I forget or it's different than the other tape preamps we used to 'trick' to be a preamp for microphones...hold the 'no tape' sensor shut off to have it held in record mode...or there's a technical problem with this now.
Any basic info on how to make RTR's go into pre-amp state with available input/output would be helpful since I believe it's working, I just haven't been able to get a source signal through it yet, I think there's some plug patch or switch combination I haven't hit on yet.
