    Hi everyone

    I have a Bell and Howell Special 399 model its 220V and its got EL84 valves

    inside looks like this:

    Im hoping to concert it to a guitar amp if you have a schematic for it that woud be amazing.

    That uses 6V6, but should be very similar.

    You will want to lose the photo tube, and pull the power oscillator tube. Then go from there.

        I am not a mod guy, you are going to build a guitar amp circuit into this chassis. I know the projector circuit, and that phototube will react to light and make noise and affect the sound. And the oscillator is not needed and wastes power and heat.

            If 220vac must be export model.
            Schematic shows 117vac.

              Yeah and he has EL84s instead of 6V6s. But it still ought to be real close.

                Just for your info, the EL84 versions of the filmosounds seem to be more desirable/valuable due to the "Bernie" amps, so keep that in mind if you are considering any major changes, such as output tube type.
