If you haven't done so already, you should install a 3-wire AC cordset. I didn't see it mentioned in your notes. It's the first thing I do with old 2-wire amps.

Many thanks for pointing out that I didn't document the fact that I installed a 3 prong power supply cord with the chassis directly died to ground! I'll update the document when I upload the "during" and "after" pictures.
