I have a conn organ amp that uses two sets of 7868's to create 2 20 watt outputs. I can create a guitar amp out of this in an evening with a few swapped out parts and a few new. I wont have a masterpiece but it would work on the bench. My question is should I build an audiophile type stereo amp with the power amps that are allready there like the old mac systems or just build another guitar amp.
I am curious either way actually I would like to hear how the tubes sound with a guitar plugged in, but would hate to waste a chance to use a find to build a tube sound system. The tonal quality has to be allright as those old conn organs rocked pretty well. Any suggestions, information would be greatly appreciated.
